About Me With a background in Bio-chemistry, a first class honours in Law and an LLM in Corporate & Commercial Law from the Queen Mary & Westfield College, University of London, Hilda was called to the Bar of England & Wales in 1989, Lincoln’s Inn of Court, and also later became a Qualified Accredited Civil & Commercial Mediator and a panel member with the Academy of Experts, Gray’s Inn, London. In her expansive years of practice as a barrister, Hilda has established a practice in both Family Law and Family-Immigration Law. Her practice includes all areas of Child Law both Private and Public Law proceedings as well as Child Adoption cases, national and international re -locations cases and all applications under the Children Act; divorce and financial remedy matters and all applications under the Family Causes Act and the Family Law Act proceedings. She is also regularly instructed on cases involving national and international re -locations of children by separating/divorced parents. In Family-Immigration Law, her practice includes all family removal cases, deportation of foreign criminals, human rights, appeals and judicial review cases. Hilda accepts instructions from solicitors as well as individuals through Direct Access Practice regime. She advises, drafts documents and represent clients in both lower and higher courts. She is happy to attend conferences either in chambers or at a location of client’s convenience.
