Alexis has also been instructed on a number of high profile criminal deportation cases such as: Khan v UK (2010) 50 EHRR 47, in which the applicant succeeded before the then Asylum and Immigration Tribunal. And in 2008, Alexis successfully defended the deportation of a Turkish national on the basis of EC Association Agreement arguments despite his having been found guilty of conspiring with others to supply heroin with a street value of £30 million.
