I was Called to the Bar in 2006 and have practised from Lincoln House Chambers in Manchester since the completion of my pupillage in 2007. 

I am a versatile barrister specialising in criminal law (with a particular emphasis on business crime and fraud and a niche expertise in motor vehicle offences), professional disciplinary / regulatory law, civil actions against the police, judicial review / administrative law and prison law. I have a particular interest in cases that raise issues concerning human rights and civil liberties.

I provide advice on the law, tactics and procedure, either in writing or in a face to face meeting. I also provide representation in various tribunals, whether it be the Magistrates Court, County Court, Crown Court, High Court or the Court of Appeal; or statutory tribunals such as the Medical Practitioners Tribunal Service or the Police Appeals Tribunal. I am an experienced trial advocate with an excellent track record of success in cases of the utmost gravity.

I pride myself on offering a first-rate service and maintaining a close working relationship with those who instruct me. I am always contactable, by e-mail or mobile telephone, to provide advice or guidance. This approach to my practice has ensured a loyal following of solicitors nationwide.

I am ranked as a leading Junior in criminal law in the 2014 Edition of The Legal 500, according to which my "grasp of the detail is outstanding.”

I graduated from the University of Manchester in 2005 with a First class degree in Law and Politics, finishing top of my year.
