Family Finance
Matthew Haynes undertakes both court and advisory work in relation to all aspects of ancillary relief. His ancillary relief work has included issues of company and partnership assets, bankruptcy, agricultural issues, and dissipation of assets. Matthew Haynes has experience of cohabitation cases and trusts of land. He also undertakes work in relation to the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975.
Professional Negligence:
Professional Negligence work is undertaken in relation to solicitors. primarily in a conveyancing and/or trusts of land/cohabitation context, but also in their advisory capacities, such as in relation to agreements. He has also acted in other fields relating to surveyors and valuers, insurance brokers and construction.

Contentious and Non-Contentious probate: Matthew's contentious probate work includes issues relating to the validity of wills, including forged wills, the construction and rectification of wills, testamentary estoppel, as well as the removal of executors.
Inheritance (Provision for Family & Dependants) Act 1975: Matthew has represented various parties including disabled applicants, minors and widows after short marriages.
He has undertaken direct access work in these fields and, besides court and advisory work, he has represented parties at mediation.
Real Property Disputes: including Boundary Disputes, Adverse Possession, Easements, Restrictive Covenants, Leasehold Enfranchisement.
Matthew has also appeared before the Lands Tribunal and Land Registry Adjudicator.

Commercial work includes;
Professional Negligence relating to solicitors, particularly in a conveyancing context, surveyors, trustees and some construction work.
Sale of Goods.
Insolvency in either a property or matrimonial context.
Commercial Landlord & Tenant matters including dilapidations.

Matthew Haynes undertakes all aspects of landlord and tenant (business and residential), as well as housing law. His housing work includes anti-social behaviour, disrepair, unlawful eviction, and harassment. His property work includes boundary disputes, adverse possession, easements and restrictive covenants. He has represented clients in the First Tier Property Chamber and its predecessors relating to issues of adverse possession and other issues of land ownership, as well as construction of leases.
